When Helen comes across a woman’s body lying in the road, she realises this is darker than a tragic accident. As the MIT team try to trace their killer, leading them all around Southampton things start to take a more sinister turn. Who lives? Who dies? Who’s next? With the clock ticking on the killers next victim can Helen put aside her personal grievances before it’s too late? Arlidge and Helen Grace never fail to disappoint. Fresh out of Holloway, and with some personal issues within the MIT team, Helen is hot on the heels of the next serial killer letting loose on Southampton. As always, I thoroughly enjoyed this instalment and it was good to be back out on the street with Helen again after the last book centred on her internment. The killer’s motives were unclear until very near the end, coming together cleverly within the final chapters. There was a slight shock within the concluding pages, that I won’t reveal, but I am eager to see unfold and the affect it will have within the next story.
