REVIEW - Meet Me at Beachcomber Bay

In the beautiful Cornish seaside town of St Carys love is in the air. But love is never as easy as it should be.

Clemency loves a man she can never have due to a sisterly teenage pact.

Ronan can charm the birds from the trees, but the lady he really wants seems to be completely immune to his talents.

Belle has all she ever wanted, but she also has a secret that she’s struggling to keep hidden.

Will everyone in St Carys get their hearts desire or will they be left wanting?

Having always been a Jill Mansell fan I couldn’t wait to start this book after requesting it on NetGalley. Having lived in Cornwall my entire life I was also interested to see how one of my favourite authors would portray it, although I kept over thinking the logistics I think Mansell did a mighty fine job.

The characters were likeable, unfortunately not loveable as they have been in some of JM’s previous novels, but I did find myself laughing to myself when Clemency and Ronan were on the same page. Belle irritated me from start to finish, even her big revelation didn’t make me feel anything for her, least of all empathy.

A light-hearted and easy read as always, with everything neatly concluded at the end. Exactly what I wanted!

** Thank you to Headline, via NetGalley, for this ARC **
