Despite belonging to different social circles at school Alex and Holly have managed to remain close friends, sharing with each other their every dream but soon the pair will be leaving for university. If they can just bury their feelings for one another of course they'll be friends forever...
11 years later.
Alex is a teacher in a small town where everyone knows each other's business and he's struggling to find a girlfriend. How did he end up staying in Mothston his whole life? What happened to making a difference?
Meanwhile, Holly is a PA at a marketing firm, she is also having a secret relationship with her boss. How did she end up in this situation? What happened to travelling the world?
Will finding each other again help them find themselves?
I love the way Tait and Rice write, such a unique style to voice a character each and still make the writing flow so well. The protagonists they construct are so relatable you could be talking to a friend. However, it's not just the main characters that are great, each friend work colleague and neighbour has a well thought out role to play. Jemma and Kev had me laughing out loud on more than one occasion.
Another great story from these authors, one that I didn't want to finish.
