REVIEW - No Turning Back

We meet Anna on her first day back at work, following maternity leave, as a host on a local morning radio show. She is struck by how much she misses her baby, Jonie but knows she will be perfectly happy with her Grandma, Florence. Finally finishing work and taking her daughter for a stroll across the beach, things begin to take a more sinister turn and driven by the need to protect her child, Anna accidentally kills a teenage boy.

But is everything as it seems, or is Anna just a small part in a much bigger story?

I thought this book was a little slow to start but a few chapters in I started to really enjoy it. Buchanan writes effortlessly and her characters are well formed. The plot was well thought out and I found myself second guessing everyone at some point. I did work out a few of the twists but this had no bearing on the conclusion.

Not my favourite of Tracy Buchanans novels so far, but still a gripping read.
